colour variants
The Ninebot E is available in black and white. The black version features red accents, while the white Elite is equipped with blue elements as standard.
Even more colours
If desired, the Ninebot can also be equipped with further colour variations, which can also be retrofitted later. The colour sets include all elements for adjusting the device to blue, green or red.
In addition to the normal handlebar, a knee handlebar is also available. The conversion is quick and easy. The operation is as simple as it looks: simply steer your knees in the desired direction.
Control
The Ninebot is a self-compensating robot and a novel means of transport combined with unique driving pleasure. The device is controlled by simple movement and leaning the body in the desired direction – as if you were controlling it with your thoughts. The Ninebot reacts to even the smallest movements and acts precisely, even when stationary. The result is a dynamic driving impression – a feeling of freedom and boundlessness.
The Ninebot can be precisely controlled with the AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System) consisting of micromechanical gyro and acceleration sensors and a high-speed CPU. This technology is also used in the aircraft industry. Information is queried and processed up to 500 times per second in order to achieve safe and dynamic driving behaviour.
Due to the purely electric drive, the Ninebot is extremely environmentally friendly. The motors operate economically and ensure maximum energy efficiency. For example, the device can travel a distance of 100 km for less than one euro in electricity costs. There is no needs to change the oil filter, oil, air filter and suchlike here, which is why expensive maintenance is also a thing of the past. This not is not only kind to the environment, it is also kind to your wallet.
Battery
The battery capacity is another point for the Ninebot. In order to meet the high demands of the Ninebot, the battery must meet high requirements. The developers of the Ninebot worked for a long time until they finally came up with one that has short charging times, high capacity and long durability. Ensuring you don't have to worry about anything and can enjoy your trip without any worries.
The Ninebot uses a nickel-cobalt-manganese lithium-ion polymer battery as an energy source. The standard module has an output of 450 Wh and is sufficient for a driving performance of approx. 20 km. The optionally available module provides 620 Wh and thus enables 30-40 km.
A module always consists of two independent battery packs. The energy management system automatically switches over as required. Thanks to the integrated charging electronics, the battery module can be fully charged within 3-4 hours. Thanks to the sophisticated charging control approx. 70 % of the initial power is still available even after 1000 charging cycles.
By the way: the Ninebot uses €0.50 of electricity per 100 km. Hence the operating costs are amazingly low even in comparison to a moped!
Note regarding the German Batteries Act:
The Ninebot electric scooter is delivered with a battery module (450 Wh or 620 Wh).
We hereby comply with our obligation to provide information in accordance with the German Batteries Act and draw attention to the following obligations:
As distributors of "industrial batteries", we are obliged to take them back. You can therefore return used industrial batteries to us free of charge; we will ensure that they are disposed of properly. "Industrial batteries" means batteries intended exclusively for industrial, commercial or agricultural use, for electric vehicles of all types or for propulsion of hybrid vehicles.
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin. In the case of batteries containing more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury, more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium or more than 0.004 mass percent lead, the chemical name of the respective pollutant used is shown under the waste bin symbol – "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.
Security
Like an airplane, the Ninebot is a constantly self-monitoring system. Maximum safety is guaranteed by backup technology (multiple components such as motors, sensors and batteries). In addition, the driver is warned to address this problem as soon as possible. The graphical error diagnosis of the Ninedroid app shows you details of the problem that has occurred.
The essential components are duplicated (redundant) and monitor themselves (depending on the model):
The digital gyro sensors are also insensitive to dust and vibrations. If there should be an error in the system, the Ninebot stops automatically to avoid possible crashes.
Materials
The design of the Ninebot was carefully thought through and implemented down to the last detail. It is not only the breathtaking appearance that plays an important role, but also the reliability and durability. By using high quality materials and a solid construction, the Ninebot easily copes with extreme situations and the most difficult conditions.
One of the lightest aluminium-magnesium alloys is used to manufacture the body and handlebar. The porcelain-like plastic parts are made of Lexan. This material was also used for the iPhone 5C.
The Ninebot also has an extremely low tyre tread. In principle, this offers a good appearance, but a poor damping effect. In order to increase damping, the designers therefore developed a tyre made of a synthetic resin-metal composite. The scar is made of alloyed metal, the edge of high-strength composite. Both are directly connected to each other.
Design
The Ninebot is truly a feast for the eyes. The unique design is not only a matter of good taste, but rather the most modern reinterpretation that emphasises the trendy and dynamic look of the Ninebot. This new design language from Ninebot is young, fresh and sets accents with elegant details. The integrated LED lighting also turns heads at night. At first sight it quickly becomes clear: the Ninebot is design genius.
Transport
The Ninebot is a masterpiece of both design and handling. It is versatile and at the same time elegant, whether at work or in your leisure time. By simply removing the steering column, the Ninebot is easy to transport and fits into any trunk. Park your car and drive the remaining kilometres comfortably with the Ninebot. It’s the perfect companion and delights in every respect.
Assistance systems and modes such as the Power Assist Mode (= PAM) are small aids that can solve simple problems in everyday life. The PAM is activated, for example, after the unit has dismounted. While driving, the device reacts to even the smallest changes in position and steering motion, depending on the user's preference. Thus, for example, stairs or other obstacles can be overcome without problems, since no effort, such as pulling for example, is necessary. The device "helps" and provides safe and easy handling.
Even sloping roads are no problem. If you want to drive on sloping surfaces, the Ninebot automatically corrects the level so that you can drive unhindered with an upright steering column. This principle applies to all directions.
TÜV
In Germany, the Ninebot Elite must be approved by TÜV in order to have approval in accordance with the German Road Traffic Act. We are happy to take care of the processing and conversions for you.
